About Me

I'm Kay Hughes and I grew up in the beautiful town of Fargo, ND. My eyes were opened to other places in the world when I met my husband and we entered the life of mission aviation.  Our adventures began when we traveled to Papua New Guinea, a very primitive country located just above Australia.  There we spent 22 years raising our family and being involved in sharing the life and love of Jesus with tribal people.  I wouldn't trade those 22 years for anything.  It's there that I learned many lessons about what is really important in life.

Just when I thought life could get no better. . . we owned our own home, in the country we loved, with the people we loved, was co-worker with my daughter, was grandma to our grandsons, etc. . .the Lord moved us to the deserts of Arizona.  It was hard, but the Lord again taught me lessons about what is important in life.,  One of those lessons is to "bloom where you're planted".  I have learned to appreciate the beautiful blooms amongst the dry, desolate, thorns of the desert.

I have a few hobbies which I try to find time for.  I love to walk and I love to quilt.  I like to bake, but don't enjoying cooking.
